Man’s best friend’s best friends.

Chris – owner

I’ve been a runner almost all my life. I started in middle school, ran in college at Syracuse University (go Orange!), and haven’t stopped since. After school, I was lucky enoug to get the greatest dog in the whole wide world. Noki is a Siberian Husky/Norwegian Elkhound mix. And boy was she a handful. So naturally, I started taking her for runs to burn off some of her energy. That’s when I learned that dogs make awesome running partners. No matter how I’m feeling or what the weather is like, Noki is always there, ready to head out the door. Plus, not only does it keep her healthy, but a good run in the morning definitely keeps her calmer throughout the day. So I started Dash to give more dogs the exercise they want and deserve.

My dog-running days started back in high school, when I took my energetic Dalmatian, Freckles, for jogs. He loved stretching his legs, and I enjoyed the quality time and tiring him out for the rest of the day. These days, I’m an active racer, competing in 5k up to marathons – including the Boston Marathon. I also have a Pekingese/ Dachshund mix named Maddie, who, despite her size and breeds, likes going for a run every once in a while.

I’ve always been a dog person, even though I’ve never owned one myself (I do have a pet python though). After being with Dash for more than a year, I’ve had the chance to run with a bunch of great dogs. It’s awesome to see them so excited before going for a run. When I’m not running with dogs, I’m running races. In fact, I’ve completed more than 30 marathons and ultra marathons races.

I’m the proud parent of two hyper dogs – Roxie, a Doberman, and Jett, a Husky/Shepherd mix. Both of them love going for runs at Chestnut Ridge Park. I also help run the shelter dogs at Pet Connections. I’ve been running competitively since high school, and have completed countless races including multiple marathons.

Pam - Dog RunnerI am that runner who knows every dog on my running route by name. Dogs and running have been my passions for many years! I have two awesome Golden Retrievers at home and I am primarily a distance runner, with my favorite distance being the marathon.

Positive feedback.

Dash Dog runners are really in tune with the dogs they run – and that is fabulous. - Cathy
